Yogic Way to a Healthy Life
Yogic science and ayurveda, both these holistic health practices that are rooted in ancient Indian traditions has mentioned some vital pillars for a healthy blissful life.
- Shaktkarmas (Cleansing Techniques)
These are purification and detoxification techniques for cleansing of our internal organs. Yogic practices like Neti (nasal cleansing), Dhauti (cleansing of the digestive tract), Basti (colon cleansing), Nauli, Tratak and periodical detoxification through fasting, specific diets, and cleansing techniques etc might be done under supervision of an expert yoga guru. - Asanas (Physical Postures)
Regular practice of yoga asanas helps maintain physical health by enhancing flexibility, strength, and balance. Certain poses are believed to massage and stimulate internal organs, improving their function and overall health. - Pranayama (Breath Control)

Moderation and Balance: – Yogic texts emphasis on eating in moderation and maintaining a balance between the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) as per Ayurvedic principles. Otherwise it may lead to toxin accumulation in body resulting in infirmity. - YuktaVichaar (Regulated Mental Thought Pattern)
Stress Reduction: – In modern times, stress has become a part and parcel of one’s life. Therefore, following appropriate mental health regime through meditation and mindfulness practices is the need of the hour in reducing stress and promoting mental clarity.
Right attitude towards life: – Cultivating a positive mindset and emotional resilience through meditation, affirmations, and self-reflection is crucial for prevention of psycho-somatic diseases. - Yukta Vihaar (Regulated Recreation)
A balanced approach to work enhances an individual’ productivity and efficiency. Dinacharya (Daily Routine): – Following a balanced daily routine that aligns with natural circadian rhythm of body (like waking up early, regular meal times, and regular sleep patterns etc).
Seasonal Routine (Ritucharya): – Adapting lifestyle and dietary habits according to one prakriti and seasonal changes is the key to maintain balance tridoshas and optimise our health. - Social Connections and Emotional Health
